Student Learning Through Structured Activities and Projects

We offer a rigorous STEM experience that starts in the 6th grade and continues through the end of high school. Our instructional design is centered on hands-on, real-world activities, projects, and problems that help students understand how the knowledge and skills they develop in the classroom can be applied in everyday life.

Our approach scaffolds student learning through structured activities and projects. Students are empowered to become independent in the classroom and build the skills to solve open-ended design problems. We also provide students with unique opportunities to work collaboratively, identify problems, apply what they know, persevere through challenges, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning.

We will have a broad range of offerings, including Robotics, Computer Science for Innovators, Flight and Space, App Creation, Medical Detectives, Medical Interventions, Biomedical Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and more.

All of our courses provide:

• Access to content experts in the community
• In class speakers and trips to see STEM in action
• Opportunities to design and experiment based on interest (aligned to the course topic)
• Use of lab skills, such as measurement, conversions, data collection, citing evidence, and defending research
