A recent article from The Gazette shares the preliminary plans for the former Transamerica property in northeast Cedar Rapids. The development of this space will include a 19-acre campus for Cedar Rapids Prep along the west edge of the property.

The campus, which will include college-level labs and STEM spaces, a new turf stadium, a premier Esports center, and state-of-the-art classrooms, has created some excitement in the area.

Dave Watson, who lives near the site, told The Gazette that the “school is an awesome fit for the neighborhood.”
