Course Offerings Overview
Cedar Rapids Prep is built on a commitment to true college readiness — one that requires students to actively own and drive their education before they graduate. This commitment shapes our robust elective options, advanced coursework, selective STEM Honors Program, and a distinctive senior year experience.
Senior Year: Each student’s senior year is tailored to their individual aspirations, skills, and postsecondary goals. By the end of junior year, every student works with their College Counselor to develop an approved Senior Plan that outlines a personalized combination of courses including a required College Seminar class, internships, independent study, and/or Concurrent Enrollment courses. The Senior Plan culminates in a Senior Thesis in the student’s chosen discipline and a Senior Capstone project, both of which must be written and defended.
STEM Honors Program: The STEM Honors Program offers qualifying students accelerated coursework in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, along with research opportunities and mentorship to prepare them for college-level STEM work and beyond.
